Shareholder networking programme

In line with the UK Government's guidelines and due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Shareholder Networking Programme was postponed in 2020. We continue to monitor the guidance into 2021 and any updates will be published here when appropriate. 

Our shareholder networking programme aims to enable UK resident shareholders to gain a better understanding of the company.

The programme typically runs once a year. Participants are required to apply annually and are selected by ballot from all those who apply. Priority is given to shareholders who have not recently attended.

The costs of the programme are paid for by National Grid.

Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and in line with the UK Government's guidelines we are not currently accepting applications at this time.

Please note

  • It is not possible to respond to unsuccessful applicants, if your application has been successful National Grid will write to you with details,
  • Applications must be resubmitted each year for inclusion in the annual ballot, and
  • To take part fully, participants need to be reasonably fit and mobile.
